I know I’m probably a little late blogging about this as we’re already in July, but I recently decided to re-finish my patio furniture. It’s on its last legs, honestly. We purchased this teak set in 2002 and we’ve re-stained it twice. I was looking into purchasing new furniture but being the cheap skate that I am, I decided to see if we could make it one more year with our existing furniture.
I’m pretty pleased with the turnout. Perfect? No. Suffice? Yes.
I’m all about using a little elbow grease to get the job done and save money. Krylon, indoor/outdoor spray paint in Avocado (table) and Georgia Clay (chairs) are the perfect color combination to use with my existing red umbrella. Pair it with this cheapo, outdoor rug from Walmart ($78) and I’m totally not embarrassed to entertain outdoors! I’m mustering up the energy to find some nice planters to finish off the space. Stay tuned for further developments.
